Working For Wichita and Archer Counties
Representative David Farabee will continue to fight for the interests of North Texas and to create opportunities for a better future for all of our families.
He will continue working for:

- The protection and conservation of North Texas water
- Fair and affordable insurance for Texas policy holders
- Economic development that provides jobs and helps our local businesses
Proven, Independent Leadership
David consistently supports additional funding our state’s public schools. He helped defeat attempts to create voucher programs that would have diverted much needed dollars from our public schools in North Texas. He voted to support our teachers by reimbursing them for the cost of school supplies and strengthened discipline standards in the classroom.
Closer to home, David joint-authored legislation exempting travel trailers from property taxes. He also authored legislation to ease governmental regulation on local oil and gas producers who have a clean record. He supported our veterans by voting for legislation that protected private information from military discharge records, helping to curb identity theft. And, David authored legislation that increased the penalties for the sale of drugs near where children gather such as our local Boys and Girls Clubs and YMCA’s.
Continuing to Fight for North Texas Into the Future
As a lifelong resident of Wichita Falls and former city councilman, David understands the importance of all of these issues. As an insurance agent, he knows our families must have access to affordable healthcare. As a businessman, he realizes building a strong economy takes strong public schools, which is why we must continue to offer our students a quality and equitable education and give our teachers the tools they need and treat them as professionals – active and retired alike.
As State Representative for for Texas House District 69, David has worked to represent Wichita and Archer Counties on statewide issues and local issues as well. He has been an advocate for our local businesses, state hospital, MHMR center, University and schools. He will continue to be an independent North Texas voice that makes our values and interests heard in the Texas House of Representatives.
